Toxoplasmosis in my pregnancy

I know I posted this in the Adult section, but I figured I'd post here too since there are lots of parents here.

Have any of you come across the toxoplasmosis parasite in your pregnancy? It is something they usually routine test for in your typical pregnancy bloodwork. Mine came back positive. It is most commonly caught from a cat, but can also be from undercooked or raw meat and shellfish. If the mother has an infection during her pregnancy, the baby is at risk for catching it. This is serious b/c it can cause developmental/ brain birth defects.

They have to do more tests on me to see if I have an infection that I just caught, or just tested positive for antibodies that have been in my body for a long time-which is what we want. It is so unlikely that I just caught it for the first time, b/c I lived on a working animal farm growing up and have had cats my whole life. But, you never know.

If anyone has dealt with this or is familiar with this, please let me know.
