Well, I really DO have adhesions on the right side...This morning I was going through my normal routine...taking the dogs out, making coffee, packing Jake's lunch, and so on.
All of a sudden, I had the worst 'knife-stabbing' pain. It took the wind right out of me. Also, I felt 'pulling'. The FIRST thing I noticed was it was mostly right-sided with just a touch mid-center. Thus, the appendix was right-sided, and the colon was shifted from center to right. The SECOND thing I noticed was that this wasn't the first time that I have felt this terrible pain. I have had it before, but thankfully, only experience it maybe 3-4 times a year...Thank Goodness!!!
I managed to finish packing Jake's lunch and immediately sat in the kitchen chair doubled over in pain. He sat down and finished his coffee not noticing anything. I tend to keep things to myself whenever possible. He then walked to the door to leave, and I trailed behind him cringing with each step I took. I kissed him goodbye and sat for a couple more minutes. The pain was nearly intolerable. It seemed to get worse while I was sitting so I did the NEAR IMPOSSIBLE. I WALKED AROUND..
I started working through the pain, and it slowly started to subside. Within 1 hour, the pain was gone, but I had to use the bathroom. Not to throw up or anything but to actually poop. Sorry to be graphic...
This pain won't happen for months now. But it did assure me that I DO have adhesions on the right lower side. However, the left side left fine. No problem.
Does anyone know a 'natural' way to treat adhesions? Due to my burst appendix 14 years ago, I lost 3 feet of my colon. I nearly lost my life too...Surgery isn't an option for me because if the colon were 'bumped', I would end up with a bag for the rest of my life.
Any thoughts?
