Trip?

Ok so I've been thinking about my 8th grade washington dc trip...I really want to go because like everyone goes and it would be really boring staying at home && i'd feel really left out <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-sad.gif" border="0"> but idk what to do about my vest && nebs and stuff...my cousin went on his and he said that they stayed out really late every night and left really early in the morning and everyone went straight to bed and they were really exhausted. So idk if i should go...I want to but it would be a huge hassle for me and all the chaperones to take everything and no time to do the treatments but i cant just skip them!! i dont wanna be sick anymore i just wanna be a normal kid who gets to go to dc and have a good time!!!!! <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-mad.gif" border="0"> so i don't know. has anybody else gone on a trip like this && how was it? or should i just skip it? probly i'll have to but idk! thanks!! <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif" border="0">

hi, i am a 19 y/o with cf and i have gone on lots of school trips like that. it is definitely a bit of a pain having to take all your medicine but i do not think at all that should discourage you from going.

obviously the vest is big and hard to take but you should look into the acapella, its super easy to carry and can be used as a substitute for the vest. as for the timing of it all, its true, you will have to stay up a bit later and get up a little earlier but its better to do that than to miss out on the entire trip.

i spent 2 months in italy this summer learning italian with a school group and i was able to stay on top of my meds and it was one of the best trips of my life. i went out and had fun at night but i still made sure to do my medicine. cf will be an inconvience but dont let it hold you back!!!

i'm the same as flessner89....went on school trips but i just had to take along my mom (super cool i know) because i didn't have the vest when i was in 8th grade back in the day. i think you should definitely go! thats why the vest is SO awesome because it allows you to be independent and do stuff like go on school trips, etc. without having to take along someone to do PT or skip trips all together.
I'm living in Italy right now for 8 months as a nanny and i couldn't do that if i didn't have my vest...its such a blessing!
i will say that carrying all that stuff can be super annoying and heavy but it's so worth it in the end!

GO! i had to miss my 8th grade trip to big south fork where we were going to go camping for a week. i got sick and almost had to go to the hospital for it. it sucked cause tht was all tht pple talked about for the rest of the year and i felt so left out. dont miss it cause you'll regret it, i promis.
