Tube Placed

Marahsny had her tube placed on the 14th and we are still here. She started feeds but then began to throw up so we are back to square one. She had a fever and is on antibiotics now.

Christina, it IS rough at first, but I think you'll be happy with the results once things settle down. My kids both had some issues at the beginning but after a few weeks we figured out the best system.

Here's some things to "tweak":

The rate of the pump can be slowed down
The formula can be delivered over a longer period of time
The formula may be too heavy for her (we tried 4 different ones)
You can start earlier so that she isn't full when she wakes up

We also found that the nurses aren't always the best people to ask for advice. Call the GI department ans speak to one of their nurses.
