The US President's proposal last week to hand out money to taxpayers (& maybe non-tax payers depending on how Congress handles it) seems to me like an opportunity to put CF charities at the top of our "how I'll spend the money" list. It's basically free, unearned money anyway so how about we all take the first 10% (maybe more?) and send it to our favorite CF charity?
If this sort of idea expanded beyond our group, imagine the effect of seeing 10% of the multi-billion handout turned over to various charities.
For the number crunchers out there, you'd also be adding to your 2008 tax deductions by using money you never would have had in the first place...free money twice!
