Ultrasound #2

Hi Everyone!

Sorry for my lack of updates. I had my second ultrasound today and everything looked great. I am measuring at 9 weeks exactly today. I couldn't believe the change between the first ultrasound and this one. I am officially done with going to the fertility clinic!

I have had one complication develop and that is that I'm already having blood sugar issues and am in the process of being put on insulin. Being the needle phobic person I am, it's a little of bit of a challenge, but it really isn't too bad. I'm really happy with the doctor and nurses I'm seeing for that aspect though, so I'm sure I'll be use to this in no time. My husband is type 1 diabetic so he is a great resource to have around, but he isn't too sympathetic regarding the needles since he knows they really don't hurt. <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-tongue.gif" border="0">

Not much else new to report. I hope everyone is having a great December.

Erin. Good news! Sorry about the diabetic stuff. At least you have the support of your hubby! I have been testing my sugars every day since I am on prednisone and I don't envy anyone who has to do that long term (especially having to use insulin!). Yuck!

Hopefully the insulin allows you a little more flexibility with what/how much you eat. That'll be a good thing in the 2nd and 3rd trimester when you want to eat nonstop.
