We finally got our bronc/scope on 13 month old daughter-She came thru the procedure great! Doctor said "she had more mucous in lungs than he expected to see." He suctioned 6 ccs of mucous from left lower lung-small areas in right lung appeared blistering red, but not bleeding-doc thinks that may be reflux related. He did full panel of bloodwork, including full Ambry-she initially had LOW sweat test of 7! Doc.said she either has infection that needs specific antibiotic(we just finished 10 days of Omnicef) or she has CF. We may know something Monday on type of infection from cultures taken and as you know it could be weeks on Ambry-I asked Doc. if he had CF patients whose lungs looked like hers, he said yes, but normally the mucous is green- not cloudy/white like hers?
