Hello!
sorry i haven´t update on how it going for Marjolein in a long time. It´s because i have not had any computer. But maybe Marjolein´s sister have give you all a update and you maybe have read her website too.

Marjolein seems to do good again after the rejection. Juse hope she countine to do well.

Marjoleins Transplant has taken place exactly 3 weeks ago today, and... she's allowed to go home!!
They have to do lots of tests before she can officially be discharged (tests for liver, kidneys, stomach, bronchoscopy and more), but as they obviously don't do tests in the weekend, she's going home for the weekend!!
Everything has been going unbelievably fantastic after the high doses of prednisone they have been giving her last weekend for the possible acute rejection. Her sats are up to 96/97 now, her heartbeat is lower (at least under 100), her lungphoto has removed a lot, all the drains and also the IV (she was on tobramycine and tacocyn (?) for the pseudomonas) are out, and she walks greeeeeeaaaaaaat ends!!
We all can't believe how amazingly well and smoothly everything has progressed those last 3 weeks. It's hard to believe that only 3 weeks ago we were at home waiting and waiting!
I think Marjolein will post something herself this weekend when she's home. So, until then!

Great News! The Transplant centers in the USA would never allow you to go home for the weekend. I think that is Wonderful. All the best to your Friend Margolein
