Update on Brian.

Thanks everyone for your support.

Brian was in with the base psychiatrist for about an hour this morning. He was diagnosed with depression, of course, and started on meds. He sees a therapist on Tuesday and the shrink again in 2 weeks. His commanding officer is not letting him off light at all. Brian has to check in with him everyday. He will also make him see the chaplain. One of the guys Brian works with had a brother who committed suicide so he's not letting this go either. I am not the only one watching out for him.

The hospital let him go because I was going to be with him that night and he was already going to see a case worker at the base by orders from the base command. The case worker talked to the shrink and went over the hospital's evaluation and they cleared him to go home. I flushed all of the over the counter pain meds we had down the toilet. The only thing I kept are my antidepressants, which I hid from him, and my vitamins.

He got his kidney functions checked again today. The results weren't in yet by the time we were ready to leave the clinic so they are going to call us with the results.

I would have grabbed you Julie, but he doesn't want me telling anyone. He's so stubborn. But I'm not one of those people who can just act like nothing happened. So I would have had to explain why we were there and he was with me at the time.
