YIPPPPPPPPPPIE FOR MIKE AND KATYYYY>>>>> I am so excited for them
Hi Everyone, this is Mike!!! You are all such an amazing, caring group of people I cannot tell you how happy the messages made me while I've been admitted and recovering. I'm almost home! My actual discharge date will be Wednesday, June 6th!. I still cannot believe that the transplant has been completed. This all feels like a dream for me. It's only been 2 weeks, but I already feel better than ever! I'm almost disconnected from everything, the only thing left is 2 chest tubes (which I will go home with for a few weeks) and 1 IV that will come out Wednesday morning. Once I'm home I plan on doing some extensive writing and journaling. This experience is something that I never want to forget and always be grateful for. I have a responsibility to live my life to it's fullest, someone else had to pass away for me to enjoy this wonderful gift of life... I know I will honor the donors family's wishes for their loved ones organs to have gone to someone that will make the most out of life. I vow to set aside time from each day of my life to pray for that family's well being.
I look forward to keeping everyone posted with my progress over the next year. It would be absolutely amazing to gather together as many of you as possible and celebrate my 1st Re-Birthday next May 22nd! As your love is with me, mine is with you... may you all have rich, relaxing days that are filled with positive energy. Don't sweat the small stuff <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-blush.gif" border="0">)
P.S I do have a few additional pictures posted on my "Myspace" page if anyone would like to check that out here is the link: www.myspace.com/serenity4mike
