First of all.....I MISS YOU ALL!
Now all the medical stuff. The reason they only removed 60cc's out of th 600 that seems to be there is this. First & formost I have many cysts on my lungs & they were afraid the "dramatic" shift from removing the fluid which cause a cystic to rupture & cause pneumonia. They also worry that my "tender" lungs would react if they got too close by providing a pneumothorax.
I still have real slight pain during one segment of my treatments, but its nothing like it was so maybe my body can/will reabsorb it like my doctor is hoping. IF something changes OR if I really wanted them to remove all the fluid she would, but she feels the risks outweighs the benefits especially since the fluid was clear.
More good news is that my xray from this morning has showed improvement in my upper lobe which is where she wanted the Bronch for. She hasnt ruled it out altogether, but there is progress.
TPN is also not out of the ??. When I get my new picc line (next week) that she thinks the TPN is a great idea & I have to say I was shocked LOL! My hearing test is scheduled for Monday. Tobra is off the list of meds for this hospital stay, but not just because of the potential hearing issue. She feels we have pretty much exhausted the benefits of it at this point.
She did put me back on Zosyn. I am not sure how long this will last because I am already feeling belly problems(heartburn sensation), but we will see.
As Terri told you my "secret" visitor was our Own Rocking Emily. OMFG she is such a firecracker. I really, really enjoyed her visit & just adore her. She is one of those people that you cant help but love. She did have a nice chat with our Personal Trainer who is also named Emily & they swapped stories about many things.
Graves is suppose to come see me tomorrow. Robert & Jazz are coming down also. I would just about guarantee that they still wont meet because hubby never gets here before 1:30.
Jazz seems to be holding up well. She wants an electric guitar for Christmas. The acuistic she has she never really warmed up to. My BFF's hubby cleaned, polished & tuned his very first electric guitar & my BFF says he wants to give it to Jazz for Christmas. I wanted to cry. Jazz played with it at my BFF house & its RED just the color she wanted. Susan (my BFF) said the only time Jazz put the guitar down was to pick up the baby LOL!
I had to put a sign on my door not to wake me before 7:45 am because the other night I asked for pain meds to sleep - actually ordered to by Jada <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-tongue.gif" border="0">
Since it was the night before my fluid drain etc. Anyway I was pretty groggy & the residents starting marching in at 7. I would just get back to sleep & then the next.
So a sign went on the door. Now everyone is leary to step foot into my room. I find it rather comical.
I think that is for now.....
Answers & progress are happening even if ever so slowly IMHO~~~
