Yes, Katy also had slightly elevated liver enzymes at diagnosis 15 months ago. We are on Ursodiol 3 ml twice a day (it is compounded into a suspension because she can't take big pills yet so I don't know the actual strength of the dosage).
The GREAT news is that at her one year checkup her liver enzymes were smack dab in the middle of the reference range.
I have been told by others on here that in our case elevated liver enzymes might have been the result of her being undiagnosed and she wasn't yet on digestive enzymes. However, our doc has not indicated that the Ursodiol is something she can come off. Yet. <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif" border="0">
p.s. I think Ursodiol is generic for Actigall or vice versa

She has been diagnosed with cirossis (sp) About a week into her treatment with urso she got really bad stomach aches every day so we took her off of them for a couple of days and her stomache aches calmed down. Then we put her back on them and the stomaches started up again but then they went away. The doc reckons that it takes awhile sometimes for the body to get used to a new medicine.

DS was put on it as an infant. He was on TPN for over two weeks, which they felt raised his liver levels. He's still on a suspension -- reminds me of cherry flavored vomit -- 3 x a day. No adverse affects as far as I can tell and liver levels were fine. His doctor also mentioned that around their teens, CFers can start having gallbladder issues and they feel this might also help prevent gall stones or at least reduce symptoms.
