Hello Everyone,<div><br></div><div>I'm new to this forum and grateful to have a way to get some questions answered from people who have "been there, done that".</div><div><br></div><div>We are from the states and just recently moved to the middle east.  My 3yo has CF and we just started using a vest for her.  The thing is, I haven't dared use it here because of the difference in voltage.  We have a transformer but it fried our air compressor that we use for her nebulizers.  I don't want the same thing to happen to the vest.  Have any of you used a vest overseas?  What did you do about the voltage difference?</div><div><br></div><div>Thanks in advance!</div><div>-A</div>

amy -- Noexuses has posted some travel tips on her blog -- you may want to PM her and see what she suggests.  You could also contact the vest company and see what they suggest.

I would definitely contact the vest manufacturer for their suggestion- they will know how to safely use it where you are and can tell you how to get what you need- and by going through the vest company directly, you can find out what needs to be done so you don't risk voiding your warranty on the vest. <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif" border="0">

It sounds like the issue is with your transformer. It is not converting properly and allowing high voltage through. Try another (better) transformer.
