Vas Deferens Reconstruction?

Hi, I am a CF carrier in the UK. I have been diagnosed as having no Vas Deferens. Does anyone know of anybody doing any research into reconstruction of the Vas?

Or if anyone can point me in the direction of a site or person who may know?

After 5 failed IVF cycles, I am now desperate for any other ideas and would consider major reconstructive surgery.

Any help would be appreciated!

Attempts to reconstruct the vas defrens in men with absent or blocked vas defrens has proved unsuccessful by all medical attempts. I see you noted that you have had 5 failed IVF cycles, I have a few questions for you and was hoping you might be able to email me off of this board, unless you feel comfortable discussing it here.

1. What type of sperm retrieval method are the doctors using on you to extract sperm
2. Are your doctors using the Intracytoplasmic Sperm injection (ICIS) procedure in conjunction with the IVF
3. Has your partner been cleared of all egg abnormaities, reproductive problems....?

I am sure I will have a few more after I have the opportunity to talk with you but the above questions and your answers will assit me in guiding you in the right direction,
