Ok, so maybe I am behind the times and maybe this has been around for a while and I just didn't know about it. But there is this really cool thin at the store Harris Teeter. It is a grocery Store Chain. they have stores all over. Not sure how many states you'll have to check the website. But anyway.
You can go online and buy all your groceries. All of them, they have an entire list of everything in the store, with current promotions and everything. You even ad your VIC card, which is their special card they have that you use at the check out to get the special promotion prices.
Anyway, After you buy your groceries online you set a date and time you want to pick them up at the store, and a store associate will shop your list for you. You can even add special instructions for each item. Like "I want green bananas" or "lean steak"
then if there is something on your list that they dont have in stock they call you and ask if they can substitute it for another item, and if not they will take it off the list for you.
It's only $5 extra for this serviceyou drive up push a button, and you dont even have to get out of the car, they come out put your groceries in the car for you. you sign your recipt or give them your check or cash, and you leave.
this is great, or post transplant people who dont want to go in and be around a bunch of other people especially in flu season.
Or for Mom's and Dad's who dont want to go in to the store with screaming kids asking for everything under the sun.
