So I'm doing my vest for 3rd time today and my boobs kill, I think I can get used to that but what vest did you use? I was thinking about ordering one of every size instead of the chest vest, I am afraid it wont do as good a job. I have a respirtech.

I did not do my vest with first pregnancy so have no frame of reference.

I had the Hil-rom and used the full vest until I couldn't buckle the bottom buckle which was only the last 6-8 wks I think and then I used a chest vest.

i used the chest vest (smaller version of regular vest). my breasts hurt so bad during vesting, and even hurt for hours afterwards. (fyi-if you think it hurts now, wait until you are breastfeeding yea!!)
i really cant say if the chest vest worked as well as the regular one. 'they' say it does, but i'm not so sure. for preg though-i do think its the best bet. after birth i'd go back to the reg one.

a few things that helped, putting a towel inside the vest between my shirt and the vest, and gerber makes these breast soothing packs designed for breastfeeding pain-i discovered them after i gave birth and i wish i had them during pregnancy. you cool them, and put them under the vest while its inflated. they helped alot.
hang in there-the pain is worth it!

should have been more specific in that my vest is riding up which respirtech vests normally dont do for me which is the issue and I assumed its because of my belly?

As for the boobs I breastfed and used this as I got compliant after having my daughter so I know I can deal with that --- I went from a B/C to F yes F oh or sometimes EE in nursing bras <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif" border="0">isgust;. Thanks for the tip on the soothing pads.

My main concern is its effectiveness not really the pain.
