DS got his last Fall when he was almost 3 1/2. His doctor prefers his patients get into the habit of doing CPT and waiting until they're older and bigger. Though I know of a 1 year old who got one recently and most of the people I know who go to the U of MN clinic have gotten theirs by the time they're 1 1/2 to 2 years old.

We got ours yesterday. My daughter is 15 months old. The only reasons I can think that someone doesn't get it early would be a doctor who doesn't know that they now make them small enough to prescribe early or having money/insurance concerns. Ours was set in motion by a really helpful RT at the hospital who knew that hill-rom has made their vest even smaller. Once she set it up, I told the pulm that they could get it smaller and he agreed to help in any way he could.

Our daughter was diagnosed at the beginning of September and we recieved our vest late October.
The moment we started treatment with her, I knew there had to be a better way and work my butt off to get one. Our church had a fundraiser and raised all the money to purchase it.
Ainsley was 2 1/2 at diagnosis and the adjustment to treatment took such an emotional tole on all of us, I had to find an alternative.

Cass just got hers last week. She's 25 months old. Same goes with us and the size issue. Hillrom came out with an extra small and we signed right up.

MommaFirst, how are you doing with it. Cass is not liking the 12Hz setting but we're getting through it.

DS doesn't like starting off right away with the 12 or 14 HZ setting, so I usually if he gets fussy with that, I tease him and ask it if he wants it faster and move it up a notch. Then he laughs and I turn it down. I think mainly the issue is with the shock of turning on the vest and interviewing with tv watching <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif" border="0">
