Vitamin K difficency

I have a few questions about vitamin k difficency.

My daughter who just turned one is being tested for CF. By that I mean we have had a negative sweat test and we are now waiting for genetic testing to be ordered. Some days I am sure she has it despite a 10 on her sweat test and other days I think she will be just like me and gets better as she gets older. I was very sick with asthma and other things when I was a baby. She has a lot of symptoms and the more I read the more things pop up.

It would be great if anyone could answer some of the questions that I have.

What is the relationship of CF and Vitamin K?

I was always told that Vitamin K and Factor 12 are one and the same. Does anyone know if that is true?

When I was about 6 me and my 2 sister and my brother were all tested and we all have Factor 12 difficency. Mine being the worst but we have never had any problems from it. We were also told that it can only be passed down for father to children. Is this true also?

When I was pregnant with my first child I had to go to the hemotologist for low factor 12 and he explained to me that is is one of the first things that your blood does to clot and that when you are pregnant that your levels are higher so I did not have any problems with that.

Anyway when my daughter was 5 weeks old she was spiting up bright red blood and I was told it was from acid reflux. She had blood workdone and it showed that she did not clot as fast as she should be we never did anything more about it becase after she was put on zantac she didnt have anymore problems with spitting up blood.

Does this sound at all like it could be related to cf of even if it is the same thing?

Almost 90% of people with Cystic Fibrosis have pancreatic insufficiency and malabsorb fat soluble vitamins.

My daughters is only 12 months and she is the size of a 2yr old. I was wondering if the pancreatic insufficiency sometimes comes later in life and if you can have the malabsorbtion of fat soluble vitamins without the pancreatic insufficiency?

Thank you guys for the info so far I have learned so much and I am trying to get a really clear understanding of EVERYTHING before we see the pulm. in July.
