WATER...... It has been scientifically proven that if we drank 1 > liter of water each day, at the end of the year we would have > absorbed more than 1 kilo of Escherichia coli bacteria found in > feces, in other words, we are consuming 2 lbs. of POOP each year!
>
> However, we don't run that risk when drinking wine, rum, whiskey, > vodka, beer or other liquors, because alcohol has to go through a > distillation process of boiling, filtering and fermenting.
>
> WATER = POOP
> BOOZE = HEALTH
> Free yourself of POOP, drink BOOZE!!!
> It's better to drink booze and feel like ***** than drink water and > be full of *****.
> There's no need to thank me for this valuable information, I'm > doing it as a public service .....

The intent is to be humorous I'm sure, but this information is scientifically untrue. I'm not sure what the requirements are elsewhere, but in the U.S. the Safe Drinking Water Act has a standard set for ecoli. Also, although e-coli is largely present in feces, the is a difference between e-coli and fecal coliform bacteria.

I know it's a joke, and the beer part is funny, but statements like "it has been scientifically proven" can easily throw people off track.

Just thought I'd comment!
