WE ARE Having TWINS!!!

I am still in shock as I write this but...

We just found out we are having twins. Two sacs and Two YOLKs. We go back in next Friday to see if their is two heartbeats!


Very excited but cautiously optimistic,

Wahoo! Congrats and welcome to the wonderful world of multiples! Now I can't wait to find out the sexes. Do you want to know the sexes before you deliver? And I'm excited to hear what your CF doctor thinks of all this. Mine was not easily excited. They just had me do PFTs once a month I believe. I can't wait to live vicariously through your twin pregnancy with you. Hope you don't mind....

That's great news - twice the fun...hope your next scan is just as exciting!

My first scan is next Monday at almost 7 weeks - hoping for a healthy heartbeat (one would be plenty...)

Tara, don't think I've been talking to you since I got my official test results but you knew I was pregnant too right? Hope you, your husband and the twins had a great time in Canada.

I was in at my CF clinic today - like you they're bringing me in once a month for PFTs. Today was a bit tedious though - I was there for hours and they ended up getting ansy cos I told them I was a bit more congested than usual and they even suggested IVs. In the end they agreed to see me next week instead. Did you do IVs during your pregnancy? I'd be very reluctant at such an early stage. Also I think they're being over-cautious.

Anyway, talk to you both soon,

I called my cf doc before my mom even. I was at the hospital and called the nurse and she was very shocked. Said they will want to see me more often, once a month but that they would get me through this and take it one day at a time! I so want to find out the sexes but I don't think I will get really excited until I hear the heartbeats. That will be the thing that will make this so real for me! I pray they both stay around!

Elizab, I am praying for your first scan! My cf doc said they are limited to what meds they can use during pregnancy but their are still some available!
