My mom figured out how to help my 5 yr old with not losing alot of
his fats, etc. She started buying yogurt. and my son loves them.
After each meal we give him his "sprinkles" in his
applesauce then we give him a gogurt ( kids' greatest yogurt). and
so far this has helped for over a year now. there is also Vita90.
my son has been taking this vitamin for close to 5 years. When we
started this vitamin we was told he had 25% ling damage. after
about 2 years on it. they said he has less than 1% damage now. The
people with Vita-90 company i believe gives $10 off for the bottle
of it. I have been in contact with James, one of the guys at the
company. he also has a son with CF. He is also my support when
taylor was diagnosed. the website is http://vita90.com/
If i get any other good ideas ill let yall know

thanks, Hope

I was told by one of my kids doctors (who has worked with cf patients for 35 years) that if I had to choose between giving enzymes at the beginning or end of the meal, it is best to give them at the end of the meal.

I wonder about the enzyme process. Now for damien he has acid in hes stomach (reflux) and zymes dont lose there coating in acid and I feel this is part of my sons challenges in hes weight gain.If i give them after he eats milk yogurt we love custard yoplait 200 cals, then less of an acidy stomach hes enzymes will lose there coating and work better. as opposed to the begining of the meal . I give him 1 or 2 at the beginning now and 1 1/2 way threw eating now.
