Andrey was diagnosed with Cystic Fibrosis at the age of 10. However, somehow the disease did not declare itself, and Andrey, being a person of strong willpower, tried not to afford such a weakness as getting sick...Before reaching the age of 18, Andrey officially went in for sports and was very promising at that...The disease became rapidly aggravating 7 years ago. At the same time he was hospitalized to the department of pulmonology of Municipal Hospital No.57 in Moscow for the first time. This is the only hospital in Russia where adult patients with this kind of diagnosis can receive treatment.

Over and over again, Andgey kept undergoing courses of treatment and then going back to his hometown of Labytnangi which is near Salekhard. Then he studied and worked, but later on he fell ill again and everything started over again. As it often happens in such situations, nobody, neither his parents nor doctors, believed in even the slightest possibility of his recovery at all... Only his girlfriend, at present his beloved fiancée Natasha, never lost faith in Andrey and his willpower.

Their heroic and incredibly strong love for each other is not something unreal or taken from those sweet made-up fairy tales about true feelings. This is the reality of our compatriots, the story of the young Russian couple in love, the story of the incredible personal struggle for LIFE, the story deserving to be written about in a book, the story that must go on with a beautiful crowded wedding, the happy groom and his bride, a lawful wedding ceremony, carrier pigeons released into the sky, a bright bouquet of flowers lightly thrown up by the bride for luck...

As a matter of fact, Andrey has got some quite real hopes and dreams for a happy future family life after lung transplantation. Professor Walter Klepetko, the reputed Austrian surgeon, invited Andrey to the Hospital of Vienna, Allgemeines Krankenhaus Wien (AKH) for examination and further lung transplantation. The examination and the surgical procedure together in this clinic would cost 140 000 euro.

We are asking you for help in this urgent fund-raising!
Even though the sum seems to be unrealistic to be raised, the love must live on...both Andrey and believing in him Natasha, deserve this kind of wonder which is TO LIVE....
