Some infections can be that dark. Or it could just be dirt. I couldn't tell you. But I do know that you should invest in a water pik, and learn to flush your sinuses with saline. It'll save you a lot of headaches, literally. It works wonders. Try it.

Is it actually black or could it possibly be dried blood?
If not it sounds like you've got Aspergillus. When I first got that I blew my nose and out came a dark blue, fuzzy thing. Yuck!
