Hi there,-
I have been through 2 Pari machines, both which stopped working and broke...garbage....., then my insurance comp. give me a cheap one, and it was horribly loud...so bad I have to put it in the closet!!!
Anyway, after 2 month of that, that one chucked it, and each time taking me an hours to do treatments,.- so I finally invested in a great machine called "MOBILAIRE 50 psi 50psi' by Invacare,. You manually adjust the pressure, just like the hospital wall machines!!!
Downside, It's $350^, insurance doesn't cover it,- BUT you get faster treatment times, BETTER medicine deeper in the lungs, weights only 11lbs, and can be run up to 10 hours.......that's worth it!!! Since I've had it been great!!
These weaker machines aren't designed for CFer's needs, and I dont why this isn't being adressed by either Docs or Manufacturers... -to be ran 1hrs or more a day time times and mulit-meds,...they eventually burn out,
( least in my case!! <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif" border="0"> )
If you don't want to invest so much, you can try a Devilbiss or PulmoAid, and ever Omron, -about $100-130 , I had luck with those, but eventually they die as well.
Hope this helps!
