What time suits you for chat

We have weekly chat night on Wednesdays at 8pm Eastern time.

Why does there need to be only one scheduled chat? Is it possible that some people would like to chat while the kids are in school or for some other time/reason, than Wednesday night?

We used to have chat every week night a while back but in 2009 Melissa (JazzysMom) passed away and it was a great loss to us all. People stopped showing up for chat every night. Eventually the chat become empty.

Joni (BelEAche) started weekly chats to try and help us come together again. Not as many people or even no one was showing up for chat every night. It's been hard getting members to come into chat since Facebook has become hugely popular. People are now chatting with one another over there.

During the Fall season there are many Television shows on Monday & Thursday nights I believe. I think that's one of the reasons she chose Wednesday night.

Perhaps someone (or me) can create a "poll" to see what days & times work for the majority. There is a button that says "new poll" under the text box when you click on "New Topic"

I have really only attended the Wednesday chat onetime. I won't tell you here, the name that I was called. I'm really not planning on returning.

For European and other parts of the world various times would be useful too. As I would like to attend one of those chats but at 8pm eastern time it's 2 in the night over here and at those hours only people without blood, brains or hair all over are active and trying to attend will have me chat like and rapidly turn into one a little more everytime. But with so many active users on this forum at any given time it should be possible to have it more continuously visited? I'll try to log in there more when I'm active at the computer too.

I stick to the forum. I used to do chat but I don't have a lot of time with Kiddo running around here and homeschool lessons.

I think the chat time poll is a great idea. There could be different chat times to accommodate all countries & time zones. I used to chat during the work day with Mel & a few other members. I sometimes have a conflict with Wed. night because of meetings & such. Everyone's schedules vary so having options is always a plus. I'd be open to trying different chat times & "meeting" members I've not chatted with previously.
