Grayson will be 1 in two months. Like with my other children, they switched to whole milk at age 1. Grayson is on continous feeds at nite and some during the day...a total of 16 hrs a day. What did your children start doing at this age? Would they still continue to give her formula?

I would think that this would be a conversation you need to have with Grayson's nutritionist. My guess is that with a feeding tube and continuous feeds (even if just at night), they'll want to keep her on some type of formula.

My dd was already really struggling to gain weight at a year, but did not have a feeding tube at the time. We switched her from breast milk directly to pediasure right around when she turned 1. Now she drinks one pediasure orally and takes 2 Boost Kids Essential 1.5 through a continuous night feed.

A lot of the pediasure type drinks are for kids 1+, so I'm guessing her birthday is opening a lot of options for you now to get weight on her and get her to grow.

We switched Ethan Sky to 1/2 whole milk and 1/2 half and half at that time. I wasn't and still am not a fan of the pediasures and other nutritional supplements. We now have our kids off milk (just for the possibility that it increases mucus) and so we are doing stuff a little different.
With Caleb who is now 1 1/2, we do coconut milk or coconut oil with homemade naked juice and add some flax oil.

Blessings,
Missa

i would definatley talk with your childs nutrionist about this one....my daughter is 14 months and i desperatley want her off her formula, but the doctor and nutrionist think she still has too many "stomach and digestion" issues. (she is on a special formula) i think it is probobly case specific with each child.
