What's a son

A tiny boy all dressed in white,
smiling, gooing and looking bright.
Ten tiny fingers, ten tiny toes,
laughing eyes and a cute little nose.
You buy him rattles, cuddly toys,
drums and engines that make a noise.
The years pass, how quick they have flown,
Your son to man has grown.
Like Jack's beamstalk he has grown so tall,
when he sprouted you can't recall.
Where is the little boy you know,
or that baby you said goo goo goo.
At least you know he is just as sweet,
but who wants to admire size ten feet.
His feet have grown, his brain has too,
he definitely now knows more than you.
His maths and science you weren't taught,
and what you learned you have quite forgot.
Who is this tall handsome stranger before your eyes,
it is your baby boy in a good disguise.

WHEN I AM A MAN

I'm growing so fast, I'm six years old,
i will be like Dad someday I'm told.
When I'm a man, i won't get mad, if my little boy is very bad.
And leaves his toys upon the floor,
or runs around just banging doors.
I won't care if he eats his food,
nor be angry if he is very rude.
I will let him make a lot of noise,
and buy him lots and lots of toys.
Then at night just after tea,
I'll put Dad to bed and I'll watch TV.<img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif" border="0">
