Im from Ireland and am in hospital quite a lot. On the ward that i stay on there are 5single bed rooms and the rest are 2+. There are 3toilets which 26 people have to share. The staff are nice though its just a pity about the lack of space! What is everyone else's hospitals like, r they similar to mine?

The Hospital I stay at is I think is rather nice. CF patients have there own private section. Everyone has there own private room. That have pull out beds for geust and your own little refrigerator. The staff are very nice. They also have computers, PS2 that they can lend to CF patients. So my hospital is completly different

My hospital have only recently raised enough money to fund the CF unit. Again we are very lucky to have our own private rooms with en suite and our own sofa-bed and fridge (rather like staying in a hotel room compared to the teenage unit!). The staff are specially trianed to deal with cf patients so they're not like a random nurse. They know there stuff!

I'm still at children's right now. They're currently making an adult CF center, and I have yet to switch. I go to Yale in CT.

I've gone to both St. Paul in Dallas and Santa Rosa in San Antonio. Both hospitals were clean, but neither had a specific CF unit when I was in attendence. Over all I liked Santa Rosa better, the nurses were friendlier and were more willing to answer questions. In my experience St. Paul... was not to my liking, the nurses seemed impatient with me and somewhat short tempered. That's just my experience though. The rooms there were big, they had t.v.'s and personal refridgerators, which was nice, they also had cable available. Santa Rosa, the nurses are much friendlier, the rooms are nice, they have t.v.'s, no personal fridges though and no cable. *shrugs* no one place is perfect.

My hospital is pretty nice. There's a CF adult floor with specially trained CF nurses. There are 10 separate rooms, 1 bed, a couch, fridge, and TV in them. There's a computer, video library, big screen (with sitting area), video game stuff, kitchenette type deal, and a snack cupboard filled with high calorie things (like twinkies and pop) all in the lobby. They make those of us who have MRSA wear masks anytime we aren't in the room and no matter what you do or where you go, they have you use purell hand sanitizer before and after you touch anything. It's very nice for accomodating ppl who stay for weeks and weeks at a time and the staff are great.

when my son was in the hospital (childrens) he had his own room... and own bathroom... there was a playroom for little ones and a teen room for the teens.. you could either mingle or sign stuff to your room.. its not a cf ward though and he was little..... we wernt confined to the room which was a good thing cause all we did was walks with the stroller... but they had washer/dryer for parents who were staying there and they had a computer.. they had just about everything you can think of..

Oh by the way i live in maine..

Since I just got out of University Hospitals in Cleveland...I had a double room (but only bc my brother and I were in at the same time, usually I have my own room) it had a TV, bathroom, mini fridge, couch/sofa, and all that good stuff. I love the staff up there, its an adult CF floor and the nurses treat you great!! They stock the fridge's in the kitchenette with all kinds of soda and food. There is a big screen that was donated in the "common area" I guess you could call it, with a bunch of DVD's and games. Overall its very clean and I wouldnt go anywhere else! but thats just my 2 cents!!
