When do you call the clinic?

DS (almost 5) is sick for the first time since getting dx. He has a very slight cough and a sinus infection. He is on antibiotics. According to the ped his lungs sound fine.

Is this something you would call the clinic about when they re open on Tuesday, or just wait and let them know when he goes in in a month for his regular 6 week appointment?

For coughs and sinus issues, we skip the peds office and call clinic. Sinus issues can lead to CF exacerbations, so I would call your clinic on Monday and just let them know what is going on. They may say it's just fine for you to work with your ped on this, but most CF centers like to be in the loop.
Good luck!

Since my clinic is out of town, I call the ped when we need antibiotics. I have noticed that the cf doc usually prescribes antibiotics for 3 weeks and my ped for only a week. You could ask the clinic about the course of treatment and if they would make any adjustments.
