Hello all,

I've certainly missed typing with you all on the forum. Things have been incredibly crazy, and time hasn't been as free or abundant as I would like to be able to spend time online.

Abby continues to amaze both me and my husband at how well she is doing. She is still sign/symptom free, but runs random 101-103 degree fevers on occasion without apparent reason. She is in daycare now that I am back at work, but we have a very understanding and receptive care center that alerts us if there are illnesses running rampant through the center.

We have a proactive primary care physician who constantly reminds us that we are special and that we can call him on his private line anytime. We're to 4 month visits with the CF clinic. We are currently debating the benefits of the RSV shot since she got RSV last winter even after having the monthly Synagis shot.

All in all, things are going great. Just wish I had more time in the day to seek support from you all as we still are in a holding pattern and to give support where I can to those who are expecting children with CF or are dealing with the time-bomb of asymptomatic children. <img src="">

Thank you all for everything.

You hit the nail right on the head. It is like waiting for the bomb to go off. My son is doing very well right now too, but I am always looking over my shoulder for the progression of this disease to catch up with him. I'm glad your kiddo is well right now too. Take care.

Thanks for the posts Liza and Stacey. It is always a challenge to think positive with CF lurking around. My mom asked me the other day if when I look at Abby do I see CF or do I see her. I had to answer that it depends. Whenever we go to the doctor (clinic visit or just a well baby visit with our PCP) or she isn't feeling well, that is when I see a child with a CF genetic diagnosis. When she is feeling fine and things are going great then I don't see it at all. We spent the morning at the doctor. Abby has strep throat. Days like today my heart feels for all of the mothers and fathers who go through so much more than we do with CF.
