Which Nebrulizer for use with TOBI?

My CFer has been on TOBI twice now. The prescription for the nebulizer was written at one point when we first used TOBI. But the nebulizer delivered was not a PARI LC PLUS®/PulmoAide. In recent research, I've found repeated statements, including from the makers of TOBI, that the PARI LC PLUS®/PulmoAide Nebulizer was the ONLY nebulizer approved by the FDA for use with TOBI. I have seen lots of threads on this forum indicating that other nebulizers are used too. Which is right? Should I be pushing for a PARI LC PLUS®/PulmoAide? What gives?

How long are the treatment times taking? Should take about 20-25 minutes tops to do a vial of tobi. When DS was first prescribed tobi, we didn't realize his brand new Pari Proneb Ultra was faulty. Tobi took 45-50 minutes

Tobi should be done with a machine capable of maintaining 23 psi. I believe the main machines used with the Pari neb cups are Pari Vios (used to proneb ultra), Devilbiss Pulmoaide and Mobilairre (sp).

It takes about 15 to 20 minutes. At first it would take 40-45 like you. I had the home health company replace the nebulizer and we're down to 15 to 20. We have a Phillips Respironics Inspiration Elite. We do have the Pari cups - that was a long story and a fight, but it's done. They were giving us disposable cups until I figured that one out too.
