Hi everyone,

I have been gone from the forums for awhile. My life has been so hectic. Altleast one family member has been sick each week since Christmas...I am about to go crazy!! Avery has had broncitis and the flu. Rhett has had pneumonia, whooping cough, two ear infections and the stomach virus. I have had the stomach virus twice and an sinus infection. And the kids cannot get rid of their green runny noses!!! I am so exhausted...I am not sure I am going to be able to keep working like I am, but we need the money. I sure hope the warm spring weather brings us good health!!! Well, I just wanted to vent and to tell everyone where I have been!!

Julie- Congrats on the babies...I hope everything goes well!!

Hi Lynsey, I haven't been around much either (pregnant and darn lazy!) but I have been thinking about you guys. I am sure the end of cold/flu season will bring you all some relief from the sicknesses! Also, I read your post on friends/family and wanted to let you know that I am totally there with you on it. Sometimes I get so disgusted with my families lack of care for Sydney's health and lack of interest in learning about CF that I just want to disown them and move on from the relationships...I wish I had some great tip for you but this is something that I am definately still struggling with on a day-to-day basis myself! Please share if you come up with a great solution!!

Take Care & Hugs,
Kelli - mom of Sydney 2.5 wcf and baby boy nocf due 5/6

Lynsey,

Our family has been in the same boat as yours! My son no CF had a cough for like 6 wks ended up on antibiotics. Then I got bronchitis and treated with antibiotics, then my husband got pneumonia! He's fine now . Through the whole time Maggie with CF didn't catch anything, don't ask me how. However, she finally, unfortunately , caught something and her cf is flaring up and she's starting on her hardcore antibiotics tomorrow. It's crazy! I'm hoping Maggie's flare-up doesn't turn into an admission but we'll just see how it goes. Maggie's been doing her VEST every 4 hours and nebs every 4 hours at home. Today is the 1st day ever she said to me"I don't want to take enzymes or do my puff puff or vest anymore" Can't blame her. Hope things get better for you, too.
Rebecca(mom to sammy7 no CF and MAggie 3 with CF)

Rebecca- I am glad to know that I am not the only one who has problems with friends and family. I don't have any good answers yet..except to just put up with it, maybe it is just a part of this crazy disease.

Kelli- I am sorry your family has experienced such illness as well. I hope your daughter doesn't have to be admitted.

Take care girls,
Lynsey
