I'm so excited.... after our insurance company denied our request for a vest, Hill-Rom filed an appeal and won -- Cigna not only agreed to approve the purchase but they paid it in full today with NO MEMBER RESPONSIBILITY !!! We don't have to pay a dime!

They were charged $16,425.00 and paid a contract price of $11,497.50 -- no rental agreement, no monthly pay-off.... just paid the whole thing... I'm so relieved !!!

We were told by the vest company to expect to be denied the first time around and then they would contact us for more information. Which they did.

We did get a letter from our insurance company regarding medical equipment and they were assigning us a "managed care" specialist. From what we gather, it appears ours will also be paid in full. Otherwise, DS's godparent is an attorney and has had to send letters to our insurance company on other issues.
