Why I couldn't button my uniform pants today-

I'm posting some pictures of my stomach the day I started the egg stimulation medications and 2 from today. My tummy is pretty distended. I've been told to drink gatorade but I'm not sure where to put it.

I thought you all might get a kick out of it. My belt was the only thing holding up my pants today. Hopefully the photos attach. If not... pointers?????

Christian, I guess That's what keeps me smiling. Plus, I could be wrong but my weight increased 8lbs in 3 days and I went from no preggo looking somtach to 2-3 month preggo looking stomach. I sure hope it doesn't progress quite that fast

Deb, I re-did them (about 7 times to get it right)-maybe try now.

Thanks for the "kick"
Yea, like what Christian said, it should get much bigger after a few months!!! (But, worth it,right!!)
BTW, why is it so big? Is the medication causing a "swelling" effect to cause the stomach to extend?
I usually get a reaction like that from the gas build-up after eating too much Chili (or other bean-based delicious foods that are so musical )

PEEAACE!

(P.S. we're just glad you don't have to get shipped, so as to not get a double dose of morning sickness and sea sickness!!)

Fred, it's called ovarian Hyperstimulation syndrome. I think I'm explaining this right: as a result of the ovaries producing so many eggs (I produced 24 "sacs" 17 full of eggs, the rest full of fluid), my body is just retaining the water inside my abdomen and pelvis (really comfy on the bladder-that imagine much like pregnancy ), plus the fluid from the sacs that were filled with water.

It's not extremely common, but it is much more common in young women. Although nobody knows why. Here's a link in case you are interested: http://www.ivf.com/ohss.html. I guess the toughest part of it all is people looking at you like you are pregnant (I mean, come on, I understand, I LOOK pregnant ) and I won't know if I am or not until the 21-22nd.

I find it comical, all my coworkers were laughing at me today becaue it was just the belt holding my pants up, not buttoned and not zipped-I couldn't.

Is that where one of the reasons for "water retention" comes from?
Also, I thought the female didn't produce so many eggs, actually thought it was only about two (I missed sex-ed during H.S.!)

So, did you make a request for a new (read, "bigger") uniform for work??

Yes, that seems to be very much like being 3 months pregnant. You just may end up staying that way for awhile for a good reason.

normally a woman does only produce 1, sometimes 2 eggs a cycle-you heard right in sex ed . I was on medications to make me mass produce them, I just produced a lot (some women produce more, some less), but I am also a small person 5'5 and 105-110lbs so 24 sacs is "a lot for someone your size" (says my hurse).

As far as the uniform, I have to pay for them so I'll just deal util I know if I am pregnant or not. Then I can switch to maternity uniforms (someone already gave me 1 set so that's something I won't have to buy).
