I've never done this before..but I am worried about my 2 almost 3 year old who very suddenly became very sick. She has been hospitalized twice in three weeks with two serious lung infections. She had a severe pneumonia which almost required a chest tube and then less than three weeks later a new spot was found. She also has been diagnosed with anemia, gallstones and hepatic cysts. They are testing her next week for CF and I am a nervous wreck!! Does this sound familiar to anyone??

Frequent lung infections or exacerbations are common. Her age is such a hard age tho since even kids without any chronic ailments seem to have a rough time health wise at this age. It most certainly wont hurt to be tested. IF she tests positive then you have something more concrete to work with & treat which should help minimize pneumonia etc. In addition not all CFers present symptoms the same or at the same age. Thats why its important to have your child tested. She is her own person and things could apply to her differently. Please let us know one way or the other!
