And Amy, there are plenty of people on here who wrote to Jade's blog that they had either attempted or thought about attempting suicide. That does not make him someone that she should not want to have a baby with. Don't rain on her parade.

IN defense of Amy......she & I were both concerned with the marital problems that had been occuring as well as his depression/suicidal issues. It is something to take into account in addition to the CF that will be part of the child's life. It is their decision and maybe Amy's approach is rough, but I do understand her concern. I will also say, as Terri pointed out, that many people have thought and even done things that (if you want to be a tight a$$) would make them "inappropriate" for parenthood. Damn that would wipe out a lot of the population. As long as both partners are aware, understand the possibilities and are in agreement then I say go for it. So as far as the testing that came back....HURRAY which is really all this thread was for. To give us results of his carrier status!
