yeast infections

seriously, i've gotten a yeast infection the last TWO times i've had sex with my boyfriend... (sadly the two times were pretty far apart.) what gives? i've tried reading up but haven't found anything useful. there has been NOTHING unusual about the last two times. please help because i cannot go on like this...

Sorry I have no help to offer. I had one yeast infection a few months ago due to meds, but that was it. Maybe ask your doctor for a yeast med.

My sis had that problem often, after every time having sex. Even though she's <u>not</u> known to have a latex allergy, the dr. said it was because of the latex condoms. She can't use them anymore. Maybe that'll help? Also, pee afterwards if you can!

I was gonna say the same thing as amber about latex condoms even though u dont have a latex allergy. Try condoms made of Polyurethane and see if you have the same reaction.

Men don't really have many symptoms of yeast infections but they can get them and if that's the case he could be reinfecting you when you have sex.

I don't have cf. I had a hysterectomy though and have had this problem since my hysterectomy. (I'm 35 BTW) My dh does not have any symptoms of a yeast infection and I don't think he has one. I attribute it to having less natural "lubrication". Like maybe I'm getting raw/irritated from the sex which is making me more prone to the infections, if that makes sense. I'm going to try a lubricant and see if that helps. I don't know if that helps you any or is related to your problem but thought I"d throw it out as another possibility.

I don't have cf... but I had this problem too, it was chronic yeast... the little yeasties were hiding and then came out full force after sex. I was wondering if all the antibiotics the bf takes had something to do with it? (anybody else have input about htat?) But regardless they gave me diflucan and antibiotcs to clear everybody out. They told me to take diflucan once a week for 6 months. Seems to do the trick.

When you have a yeast infection I would not have Sex until it is gone. I would use these suppositores for two weeks and then everytime before sex slip one in and it will feel good and help to balance out your system keeping you in balance and the yeasties away.
