Young child in daycare

Does anyone have a 2 1/2-3 year old in daycare taking enzymes? If so, what are the standards for their medication. Such as, can you take a weeks worth of pill's in the pill bottle or take in the amount your child would use daily? What is the law for enyzmes? I have read that if another child was to ingest an enzyme it would not harm them because enzymes are naturally produced by our bodies. And there is no need to lock this medication up in the office due to they should be taking right before eating. I know more of the serious drugs need to be locked up. Any one from Louisville, KY who has had this problem or any where else, what did you do to resolve the problem? Can a doctor's note allow them to keep them in the classroom? I know this is an issue with school's.I'm asking because the daycare my child is in would let me bring a weeks worth of pill's at a time. I would bring them in every Monday for the week. One morning I went to put the pill's in and found a weeks worth of pill's. But of course when I question or check at the end of the day, I'm the bad person. She does have the bowel problem so I know if she does not take them it can lead to more BM's and other complications, which are documented at daycare. But now she's not having any BM's (funny uh). I have notice a change in her BM's but nothing drastic, except alot looser and no other symptoms like pain in stomach, bloating, etc. Thanks for listening and any reply's.Mother of a wonderful daughter w/CF needing to vent!

Thankfully, my sons day care has been great about his CF diagnosis. He was diagnosed just over a year ago and they were very compassionate about the whole thing. I had to have a note from his doctor confirming that he had CF and would be required to take the enzymes with meals. I also filled out a form the day care provided which explained everything from how many, to how often, to what symptoms to look for, etc... I added on to it a list of foods that he could have that did not require enzymes. I went out and bought a pill holder that had a place for Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner and Bedtime for each day of the week. I relabeled them to read: Breakfast, Lunch and Snack which are the 3 meals he has at day care. I would fill each one up with the appropriate amount of enzymes for each meal/snack. The school provideds a weekly menu each Monday, so it is easy for me to figure out the amounts. Each morning I take the pill holder in and give it to his teachers and sign a sheet that I have dropped it off for that day. The teachers will in turn sign that they have received/administered them. At the end of the day they put the empty pill holder in his cubby for me to pick up when I pick him up. Maybe something like this would work for your daughter. Good Luck!
