zithromax side effects

Hello--this is the first post for me and I am very interested in hearing about others that have experienced side effects from taking zithromax- My dosage is 250mgs, 3x/week. I started taking it about two months ago and during the last few weeks I have experienced my heart rate slowing down and this would happen a couple times a day. I have stopped taking it and have not had a problem since.
Has anyone else experienced anything similar?

I have been on the drug 3 times per week for three or four weeks. Never had any issues similar to yours with a slowing heart rate. The side effect that bothered me was some nausia/spaced feeling.

I've also been on the drug every Monday, Wedensday and Friday for the past year now, and I've never had any side effects. In fact, my doctor never even mentioned the risk of side effects to me. 'Course, everyone reacts differently, though, so I don't know what to tell you. Have you asked your doctor about it, or did you just stop taking it on your own?
