feeding tube

I currently have a low profile feeding tube. It has worked well to maintain my weight. Unfortunately, the skin surrounding my tube is raw and causes continual pain. The constant moisture (from leakage etc) makes it hard for the skin to heal. If you have a feeding tube and this problem, would you please respond with suggestions?

I had the exact same problem with my feeding tube. You can get little pads that go underneath the tube to serve as a buffer between the tube and the skin and it just sucks up all the moisture. It just gives your skin a rest.I think they were called hydo film, or something like that.Ask you're cf nurse they should be able to help you also..Hope it starts to feel betterTracy
