Hi Anne & welcome to the site. There is much support and information to be found here.

I think that diet and exercise are the two things that have helped my son the most. He is "a-typical" and "mild". He has developed more lung involvement over the past couple of years, but I guess progression is to be expected. Overall, I think he is the healthiest he's ever been. He drinks a cup of coffee each morning. (he is 17yo) It really helps him open up in the mornings. He works out atleast 5 days a week. He takes a weight training class at school, but he also works out at home. He has been able to gain muscle and the exercise has made a big difference in his energy level.

Of course we have an awesome pulmo, but the increased BMI really lets the maintenance drugs do their job.

I think the most important thing that anyone can do for their cf is getting all the mucus out daily. That would be my main focus, then eating healthy and getting exericse. If you can focus on all of these daily, then you are doing a great job.

Energy medicine is helpful in between everything else. You can practice EM techniques during cf therapy.

We are a very complex system!

Focus on the positive when you can!
