how to find a respiratory therapist

Have any of you used a resp therapist/tech to come to your house to do pt? Or even gone to some type of 'center' to receive it?

I am looking for someone to come to my home to do pt. I am trying to finish up my tuneup at home but I really want to add some manual pt to my routine. My cf center mentioned a home resp company, but we just found out that they won't service my area bc its too far for them.
We don't really know where to turn. My mom can come once in a while and hubby can do pm pt, but for me the most important one of the day is the first am pt so I really need someone pronto.

If you have used this-who did u get and how?

And brainstorming-any suggestions to go about finding someone?

okay some off the wall ideas...
-post a request on craigslist. http://newyork.craigslist.org/hea/
-post a request on a respiratory therapist forum...wait I think Jeanne has mentioned she has another site respiratorytherapy.com or ist.com
-go to the closest hospital and try to weasle your way to the rt's - - see if any are interested in extra work "off the books."

Most of these suggestions would require you to pay them out of pocket. If you are looking for ins. to cover it, you might give them a call and see who they have listed for rt's in the area.

If you live in the MA area or I also believe the Salt Lake area, there is a company that does specifically Chest PT for mostly CFers. If you would that info give me a PM and I will send you the info.
