This is a great question. My inspiration comes from a combination of God and my family. My family is extremely important and supportive. I also have the greatest husband in the world. He continues to amaze me every day with the support and strength he has for me. I also have my father,2 brothers, and a father in law in heaven pulling for me.

My dad has inspired me lately! He had bypass surgery this week. It was very last minute (tests showed major blockage in his arteries). He could have had a fatal heart attack at any moment. Knowing that I was that close to losing my daddy really made me appreciate life in general. It can all be taken away from you in the blink of an eye so you better love it while you have it. Life's too short to waste it not being happy with yourself and your loved ones. So go give everyone you love a big hug and a kiss and tell them you love them because they won't be there someday to tell.

Frog princess do you have a name. I feel funny calling you that. HeeHee. Anyway I agree with you 100%. Always take the time to hug and/or kiss your loved one/ spiecal people in your life because you don't know if they'll be coming home today. Me and my boyfriend have always kissed each other even if one of us is sleeping. We wake each other up. YOU DONT KNOW... No regrets. I don't want to live with the regret that somone didn't know how I felt. Or oppisite I don't want them to regret. Life is short. I learned that when my step-dad (only dad I really knew as a dad) passed away 3 years ago. I had no regrets with him. Because we always talked/hugged goodbye/kiss goodbye. I didn't have any moments where I wished I would have sadi this. Because I said it. Didn't mean to make this a sob story. But what do you do....

I think about how many people are much sicker than I am when I get down and remind myself to quit complaining. That usually does it for me.

Thinking. Loving. Reminiscing. Considering what the future might hold, for myself, people I value, and humanity at large. Writing poems, and reading those by the greats.

<i>"IS life worth living? Yes, so long
As there is wrong to right,
Wail of the weak against the strong,
Or tyranny to fight;
Long as there lingers gloom to chase,
Or streaming tear to dry,
One kindred woe, one sorrowing face
That smiles as we draw nigh;
Long as a tale of anguish swells
The heart, and lids grow wet,
And at the sound of Christmas bells
We pardon and forget;
So long as Faith with Freedom reigns,
And loyal Hope survives,
And gracious Charity remains
To leaven lowly lives;
While there is one untrodden tract
For Intellect or Will,
And men are free to think and act
Life is worth living still..."<i>

Kaits inspiration comes from God, how strong her faith is !!!!!! She is 9 years old and sure she has the faith of a child that has not experienced alot in life but she has experienced alot with CF. She is a real loving and compassionate child and i believe that her faith in God will always be strong, she knows that God will always take care of her.

I actually get inspiration from my nurse practioner. She has lived with Chrohn's disease for over 20 years. She has literally been on the brink of death so many times that some of the nurses have lost count. She has had kidney failure, she has tube feeding every night. She can not intake normal food anymore.

Yet, I know she doesn't express how much pain she is in, you see it in her eye's. Sometimes when I hug her she is so little, a 100lbs maybe. She stands 5'7" too.

She is the most wonderful person. Her spirit and laugh echo everywhere she is. Plus, she really understands the tiring routine, complications and frustrations with everything. Sometimes not words are said at all, just an expression.

I love her tons, and sometimes I don't see her as much as I would like. Currently she isn't seeing patients because she was working too much and she ended up in the hospital again.

I figure if this woman can be a guidance to patients, take care of her health, travel with her med's/needles and such, I can do the same. Too have a system that doesn't digest anymore, that is very painful. Her strength, there aren't any words for. She is my inspiration, because she still cares about others, herself, and tries to do what she can to still be there for others; even when she is tired. She has had severe near death situations, and she comes back. One of these days she won't, but she will still be around.

When I was younger it was me knowing I had no one else to count on but myself. Then when I met my kids father we got strength from each other which we still do. I'd love to know how he does it though. He is supporting me and the kids he goes none stop. He says it's because he is the healthy one of the four of us. My kids make me push myself. It has always helped me to think someone always has it worse. Plus my boys health gives me something to do to keep my mind of of my pain or how poorly I feel. And now I have a reason for leaving against medical advice if I land in the hospital as long as it is for something that my sons can't get. I am notorious for doing that never been much on hospitals. But my better half is probaly the best man ever. Cause I just don't know how he does it. He workes every day and if I am not doing so good at the time he will help me clean or do the dishes. He doesn't do laundry though (I don't let him). He tells me if he needs to he'll come home the do the boys treatments and stuff. But I don't let him no matter how I feel I always make sure they get their meds and treatments.
