Sorry to hear about your daughters diagnosis. Hearing your child has CF is never a good thing. My 12 year old daughter has the exact same mutations as yours with one more thrown in the mix, 621+1G>T. She was diagnosed at age 5 and is doing pretty good for the most part. She just finished 2 weeks...

My Daughter has Atypical CF. She was diagnosed at 6, borderline sweat test, pancreatic sufficient, her one mutation is not listed as disease causing....but, with that being said...She has cultured staph, PA, had a few hospitalizations for pneumonia and her FEV's are all over the place, she takes...

Hi, My daughter cultured PA for the first time about a month ago. I started almost the same post in the families section about 2 weeks ago. She finished cipro and is still on Tobi 2x's a day. She is "kinda" tolerating it well, it is harsh on her throat and nose...I make her gargle w/ water after...

Yes it is irritating her nasal passages also! Lots o bloody noses, which is the norm for her anyway, but they seem to last longer now, and there "more bloody"

Should kids with CF stay away from Hayrides, straw crawls etc. It's rained alot where I live so the "haystuff" is damp, I'm kinda thinking all kinds of germs, bugs could be living on it. Any advice?

Thanks to all for your posts. Lara gets sputum cultures every 3 months (is that the norm?) or will it have to be done more often now? We are going back tomorrow for another culture. ymikhale: I'm glad to hear your DD keeps getting rid of it <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif"...
