    salt treatments

Like the PP mentioned there is a renowned salt room in Orlando. This is different than nebbing hyp sal, and not to be replaced with hyp sal. The purpose of salt rooms isn't just the salt, its the minerals also. There was HALO in nyc but that has sinced closed. The only thing similar I've found...

Any Good CF Doctors in Florida?

I don't know about central FL, but I've heard in the Cf community that Miami Children's is great, and they have an adult connection.

    Gynecologist / OBGYN

For my first pregnancy I had an OB who had experience with Cf moms, but was not high risk. My Cf clinic had referred their cases to her, so during my pregnancy we all worked closely together. For my 2nd pregnancy, that dear OB had since retired, so I needed to find someone else. My Cf clinic was...

As far as your lung, yes you've been through the ringer but you WILL bounce back from this. Remember that all women that give birth, without Cf, have a reduction in their lung...

    Breastfeeding and CF

Wanted to add, a wonderful resource is infantrisk.org. They have a hotline which is sort of like poison control of sorts...for Breastfeeding and meds. I called them during my last round of IVs regarding my prednisone. (prednisone happens to be a L3 level med for BF, anything 30 mgs or under for...

    Breastfeeding and CF

Hello, I BF my daughter till she was 11 months old. I would have gone longer but I was doing alot of in and out of the hospital at the time (had some sudden non cf related surgeries). I loved nursing her, but by the time she was 11 months I could see she wasn't that interested anymore. That goes...

Supporting someone DX later in life

For those of you who've been diagnosed later in life (over 30, say) how did you cope with it? What could I do to support someone who is Dx later in life? Its hard for me to think of the emotions that a person would go through. I was dx at 1.5 yrs old. Its all I've ever known. What about when...

Well done docu. I wish I could sit down all my loved ones and watch it with them-I think they'd understand what Cf is much better.I really related to the end when Kirstie says she spent so much time trying to convince people around her that she really was sick-she forgot how sick she actually...

    Pulmozyne

It is a category B med. I took it with both pregnancies, however I was very conservative and opted to delay taking it till my 2nd trimester. It was no problem stopping it for those weeks the first pregnancy. However the 2nd pregnancy, my lungs missed my pulmozyme alot. So whatever you do, know...
