How do you deal with bad news

Carey, I'm sorry you have to deal with this. I too feel like people's reactions are overwhelming. We have some friends who see our daughter as completely healthy and act like nothing's wrong. And I want to say, "You have no idea how hard it is to KEEP her healthy, and even then we have no...

Blood works was very bad today!

Poor baby and poor mama. I'm so sorry. And I agree with everyone else, there is definitely a better way. If the person drawing blood can't get it after two pokes. Take your kiddo and say, "we'd like someone else." I'm from the midwest and it's hard for me to be assertive, but I've learned to be...

    pseudamona questions

Our daughter cultured Pseudomonas at age two and I agree, it felt like for the first time, she actually had CF. We're doing Tobi and it's time consuming and a pain, but I am sooooo incredibly thankful for that pain-in-the-butt-treatment that keeps her healthy.

What medicines you give to a toddler

My kiddo nebs Albuterol, Pulmozyme and Tobi. And she takes Vitamax, (used to take Zinc), Iron, Prevacid (to help control stomach acid), Creon and Pancrecarb (the combo works for her), and sometimes an oral antibiotic when she cultures something, or has a cold last over a week. We also do the...
