Concerned about negative effects of meds

You need to be careful with some abx. TOBI, while it's usually very well tolerated, has side effects that are irreversible. These include hearing loss and dizziness. Aerosolized TOBI has less chances of causing these problems, but it can happen. I was on aerosolized TOBI and IV TOBI for about a...

    m. abscessus and fevers

thanks for the replies all! Working is what is really getting me. It is so hard to work and be sick. I do get SSDI, but unfortunately it's not enough for me to live off of by itself. That's another reason why I'm so hesitant to stop working or take time off of school. Ugh, this bug is so crappy!

    Nasal Polyps and Diagnosis??

When I got nasal polyps (age 13), I vaguely remember having a stuffy nose that didn't really go away. I always had really bad sinuses growing up and attributed my nasal congestion to crappy sinuses until I noticed one day that there was an obstruction when I looked up my nose. My polyps got so...

    Would u recommend it.

Hey there! I actually just got my first port last october and while I didn't like my surgeon and would prefer my port to be in a different spot, I love having it. I was a nervous wreck before getting it and never thought I really needed one. I now wish I would have gotten one a lot sooner than...

    cayston- batteries or power cord?

I can't tolerate cayston, but when I first tried it, my resp. therapist told me to always use the power cord unless I was traveling or needed it to be portable. She told me this because batteries end up losing their life so quickly due to how much power the machines needs to use, it seems almost...

my hypothesis on the mechanism behind the clubbing of fingers

Finger clubbing related to digestion is interesting! As I said earlier, growing up I had GREAT lung function but always had clubbing. My digestion as a kid, however, was always really bad. I was always having belly aches and it took several years to get my enzymes right. I wonder if it's a...
