    Daughter having pain when breathing

It does sound like pleurisy. I think it will probably be a lot less scarier for her if she understands what it is. Basically, there's a double lining, one layer covering the outside of the lungs and one layer covering the inside of the chest wall. Normally, they allow the lungs to expand and...

    SMOKE

What I really hate is when I'm walking down the sidewalk and there's someone walking in front of me with a cigarette. I try to slow down so they will get far enough ahead so it doesn't bother me, or if they're close enough I might try to speed-walk past them. What really bugs me is how...

    Diabetes Question

According to the diabetes booklet my clinic gave me, CFers don't use oral tablets at all. It says they are not reccomended by the CF foundation because there isn't enough research to show the usefulness or safety of using oral medication to treat CFRD.

    Osteoporosis-- beginning symptoms??

Unfortunately, there aren't really any symptoms. The only way to find out is through a bone scan. I have been diagnosed with Osteopenia (that means I've had some bone density loss, but it's not enough to be diagnosed as osteoperosis yet), and I will tell you my bones seem to be less able to...
