    my dd is more or less chronically constipated, although not to the extent that you are describing. I give her organic papaya purée (30g) every day for that. I found it worked as well as miralax.

    I would say retesting could be a good idea. My dd had a very low elastase level when born (60 I think, highly insufficient) and was put on enzymes b/c of that. When retested a year later she had 450 (I think a person w/o CF has >500 and PS is >200). Someone on this website mentioned that little...

    rare pseudomonas and staph?

    I would say they are referring to the germ count, not the strain. IMO it means that there are not many bacteria in the sputum sample.
