    Cystic Fibrosis and Vaporizing/Ingesting Marijuana

KMV, yeah it's not soluble in water (polar). It is soluble in most non-polar solutes, hexane, ethanol, lipids etc.

    Cystic Fibrosis and Vaporizing/Ingesting Marijuana

I agree with vaporizing, it's much less harsh. A note about edibles, particularly brownies, the THC is dissolved into the butter, and most of us CFers don't digest fats well. So there goes $60 in pot down the toilet, literally. Marinol is also an option if you are only looking for weight gain.

    A1c, fasting glucose...help?

The pancreas is both an endocrine and exocrine organ. The exocrine portion is most commonly affected (ie. mucus clogging the pancreatic duct) in people with CF. The endocrine portion is the part that makes insulin and does not require a duct to release the hormone Insulin (via the islets of...

    Prednisone Taper

I had lots of joint pain. If you get that, keep moving the affected joint, it's not comfortable, but it does help.

    Relationship Troubles

I completely agree with the last few posts. Honesty is best, but you can't dump that kind of stuff on the first date, perhaps not the second, or the 10th. If the girl/guy really likes you then the CF thing shouldn't be a deal breaker. It will definitely be a deal breaker if all they know...

    New PFT system?

Looking at percents is not preferred. A lot of centers are giving out the raw numbers rather than percent predicted. It's much more of an accurate picture as far as your FVC and FEV1 as well as FEV25/75 over a period of time
